An application of rule-based tool in attributive logic for business rules modeling
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper presents results of the research being conducted in the Department of Applied Computer Science at Faculty of Management, AGH University of Science and Technology and concerning the use of database server for business rules modeling as knowledge based systems in information systems design and development. Our assumption was that most business rules would have complex structure and their interpretation would require new facts to be generated and analyzed, similarly as it happens in expert systems. Another assumption was that the rules would be stored in tables of relational database. Our experience gained so far indicates that the idea of the compilation of possibilities given by SQL language and interface engine based on if-then type rules together with the ability of new facts generation is right. 2007 Elsevier Ltd. XTT+ Rule Design Using the ALSV(FD)
This paper presents advances in Set Attributive Logic and its application to develop tabular rule-based systems within the XTT framework. The primary goal is to extend the expressive power of simple attributive languages so that it becomes satisfactory for complex applications, including the business rules support. A formal framework of extended Attributive Logic with Set Values over Finite Dom...
متن کاملOn ALSV Rules Formulation and Inference
In this paper knowledge representation and inference issues for rule-based systems are discussed. The paper deals with improving the logical calculus of Set Attributive Logic founding an expressive rule language XTT. Representation extensions are introduced, and practical inference rules provided. The original includes an extended state specification, as well as interpreter design. Examples of ...
متن کاملAn Executive Approach Based On the Production of Fuzzy Ontology Using the Semantic Web Rule Language Method (SWRL)
Today, the need to deal with ambiguous information in semantic web languages is increasing. Ontology is an important part of the W3C standards for the semantic web, used to define a conceptual standard vocabulary for the exchange of data between systems, the provision of reusable databases, and the facilitation of collaboration across multiple systems. However, classical ontology is not enough ...
متن کاملVisual Modeling and Verbalization of Rules ∗ PhD Research Proposal
Rules are widely recognized to play an important role in the Semantic Web. They are a critical technology component for the early adoption and applications of knowledge-based techniques in e-business, especially enterprize integration and B2B e-commerce. This includes, in particular, markup languages for integrity and derivation rules, such as the Semantic Web Rule Language (SWRL) that has been...
متن کاملActive Rules for Runtime Adaptivity Management
This paper presents AWAC, a prototype CAWE tool for the automatic generation of adaptive Web applications based on the A-OOH methodology. A-OOH (Adaptive OO-H) is an extension of the OO-H approach to support the modeling of personalized Websites. A-OOH allows modeling the content, structure, presentation and personalization of a Web Application. The AWAC tool takes the A-OOH design models of th...
